In the Casas Reales Museum (Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic) is located the sundial which was lifted for 1753 under the reign of Charles III , under the command of Captain of the Colony  Don Francisco de Rubio Peñaranda.

A replica of the sundial is located in the village of Banica, on the borders of the Canary Islands.
